Keys getting stuck or hard to turn.

When locks wear, the pins inside them lose their shape and develop flat spots.  Keys also wear over time and develop thin spots and flat spots. This makes the keys hard to insert or remove from the lock.   Keys that are copies of copies (of copies…) tend to end up miscut  (too deep or not deep enough) and either jamb up or have to be jiggled to work. These are a few of the most common problems we encounter when our customers call saying their keys are not working right.  In most cases we can rekey your locks and/or decode and properly cut you new replacement keys.  Depending on the lock this can be much cheaper than replacing the lock saving you both money and frustration.  If you need more information or service just give us a call at 717-559-BEAR or 717-405-4212 .
